(Made in July 2023)
Over the course of the summer, I worked with the band Polarlicht to make a cover artwork for their new project. I made a first version for the single, Claustrophobie, and a second version for the album itself!
It was very fun to discuss with them to match what they had in mind for their cover. I looked at bands they liked, and tried to take inspiration from those while also doing something that matched what the music told /me/ as I listened to it. The end result is an attempt at conveying the feeling of being trapped in a world that feels too big, where you are scrutinized at all times to make sure you don't step out of line. It is a mix of both traditional art (the crowd), collage (the mannequins, the faces, the newspaper textures) and digital art (the clothes).
I also got to work on the typography, which was super fun and a new topic I hadn't gotten to dwelve into much on a scale this big before.
UNFORGOTTEN DREAMS is already out on all platforms, do check it out!
