I worked again with Polarlicht to produce an artwork for the cover of their new single, Lost Generation.
This cover is based on an idea I had when working on the first album cover. I had originally discarded this idea due to it being too open and not conveying the feeling I wanted, the idea of being trapped. They however really liked the idea when I brought it up to them, and asked if I thought it would work for this song. I thought it did!
The mountains and their reflection are based on sound waves provided by Marx Kaleid. The northern lights are based on the band members' profiles. The idea was to show that music was an intrinsic part of their identity.
LOST GENERATION was originally on an album regrouping multiple bands, which they later on uploaded as it's own thing - it was since added to their full album, under their new label. This cover is now deprecated, due to that, but we have been discussing reusing the artwork in other projects of theirs!
